Chinese Church

DUMC became a cell church in August 1993 and we saw a tremendous growth since then. Increasingly we felt the burden to reach out to the non English speaking relatives especially parents who could only understand Mandarin. Hence after much prayer and consideration, the eldership of the church decided to start the Chinese ministry thus we had our first Chinese celebration on December 8, 1996. In 2008, the Chinese Ministry became DUMC’s Chinese Church.

Currently, about 400 worshippers attend our our weekly celebration. Just like the English speaking congregation, we too have various ministries catering to different needs in the church. Therefore we would like to take this opportunity to introduce these ministries here. We hope that brothers and sisters who could understand Mandarin and willing to serve the Chinese community could join us and lend us a helping hand in the Chinese congregation. We pray that you will answer the call.

Activities

-    Weekly Chinese Teen Ministry on Saturdays at 4.30-6.30pm
-    Weekly Chinese Youth Celebration on Saturdays at 8.00 – 10.00pm
-    Weekly Chinese Celebration on Sundays at 9.30 - 11.15am 
-    Weekly Chinese Children’s Church Celebration on Sundays at 9.30 - 11.15am
